نطالب بعدم ترحيل الاخ عبدالله احمد عبدالرحمن الى ليبيا نظرا لعدم التزام الحكومة الليبية بحقوق الانسان في ليبيا, نطالب الحكومة السويدية بالتريث وعدم ترحيل الاخ عبدالله عبدالرحمن, ومراجعة النظر في قضيته ومنحه حق اللجوء السياسي, وذلك لنشاطاته السياسية المعروفة المناوأه للنظام الليبي. واننا اذ نؤكد على صون حقوق الانسان في السويد فاننا نطالب الحكومة السويدية بان تعجل في اعطاء اللجوء لجميع من قدم طلبا كلاجئ والامتناع عن ترحيل ايامنهم.

Stop deportation of the Libyan dissident Mr. Abdallah Ahmed Al-Gharib Abdelrahman.

It is well known that human rights in Libya are not respected in any shape or form, especially the right of freedom of expression. Mr. A. Abdelrahman is well known to have expressed views against the Libyan regime. Therefore, he will be in danger if he is deported to Libya. We would like to remind the Swedish Government of their obligations under Article 14 of the Geneva Convention Relating to the Status of Refugees (1951):

“No Contracting State shall expel or return (‘refouler’) a refugee in any manner whatsoever to the frontiers of territories where his life or freedom would be threatened on account of his race, religion, nationality, membership of a particular social group or political opinion.”

In case of the above mentioned dissident: He cannot go back to his country because of the following risks:

1. Imprisonment and Persecution
2. Torture and punishment
3. Electric torture
4. Flogging
5. Threats to kill him if he does not comply with the regime.
6. Lack of independent Libyan human rights organizations, which can lobby against violations of human

    rights in the country.

7. Threats to abuse his family members if he doesn’t obey the regime.

Because of the above risks it is too dangerous for him to go back to Libya. The Araya human rights organization asks the government of Sweden to give Mr. A. Abdelrahman permission to reside in Sweden as an opportunity to live in a country that values freedom of speech and expression.
