تخوف على حياة ومصير نشطاء سياسيين ليبيين Fear for the lives of Libyan political activists
هناك تخوف حقيقي على حياة ومصير النشطاء السياسيين الليبيين من الذين كانوا يعدون لتنظيم اعتصام سلمي في (ميدان الشهداء) وسط العاصمة الليبية طرابلس يوم السبت الموافق 17 فبراير الماضي ولكن تم اعتقالهم جميعا من قبل السلطات الليبية يومي 16 و 17 فبراير قبيل ان يتم القيام بالاعتصام. هؤلاء النشطاء السياسيون قد يواجهون عقوبة الاعدام بعد أن وجهت لهم السلطات الليبية تهم ملفقة منها حيازة أسلحة وقنابل يدوية والتحريض على والتخطيط للقيام بعمليات ارهابية والتخابر مع جهات أجنبية. هذه التهم الملفقة من قبل السلطات الليبية ليس لها أي أساس من الصحة ويهدف من ورائها تغطية الصبغة الحقيقية لهؤلاء السجناء كسجناء سياسيون كانوا يطالبون سلميا وعلنيا بالحريات والديمقراطية في ليبيا من خلال وسائل مشروعة متعارف عليها دوليا.راجع بيان منظمات حقوقية ليبية وعربية بخصوص المعتقلين السياسيين في ليبيا
There is a genuine fear that at least ten peaceful political dissidents who were planning a peaceful public demonstration at the (Martyrs Square) in the centre of the Libyan capital Tripoli on Saturday 17th of February and were all arrested on 16th and 17th of February before the planned event took place may face the death penalty after the Libyan authorities have infopiled very serious false accusations against them including: possession of weapons, planning to carry out terrorist operations, and having clandestine contacts with foreign powers. These accusations are infopletely false and are designed to cover the real status of these prisoners as political prisoners who were campaigning peacefully and openly for freedom and democracy in Libya using internationally recognised legitimate means.
